This post is sponsored by Stonyfield Organic via the Clean Plate Club blogger program. Although I was compensated for my work, all content and opinions are my own.
As longtime readers know, I occasionally work with Stonyfield to promote their line of organic yogurts. I'm selective about the brands I produce sponsored content for, and one of the reasons I work with Stonyfield is because I appreciate their commitment to sustainability.
Stonyfield has asked me to share some exciting news with my readers: they're making their mission to support healthy people, healthy food, a healthy planet and healthy business official by becoming a certified B corporation, or B corp.
What's a B corp? According to B Lab, the nonprofit that certifies B corps, companies must meet "rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency." Since the first B corps were certified in 2007, over 2,000 companies representing 50 countries and 130 industries have become B corporations. Like Stonyfield, many of them are familiar brands like King Arthur, Method, Purely Elizabeth, Preserve, Pukka, and Pete and Gerry's.
